Apparently acting on a deluge of petitions from Nigerians, particularly some ex-militant leaders, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has summoned former special adviser on Niger Delta Affairs to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Kingsley Kuku for questioning.
Mr Kuku is slated for interrogation between
Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
Some ex-militant leaders had recently petitioned
the anti-graft agency alleging massive malfeasance in the running of the amnesty
programme.
THISDAY sources confirmed last night that Mr
Kuku, along with some unnamed persons, have questions to answer regarding
allegations of embezzlement and fraudulent diversion of funds running several of
millions of Naira.
Our correspondent also gathered that the EFCC
quizzed a former special assistant to President Jonathan on Schools and
Agricultural programme, Hajia Baraka Sani.
Although she was released on administrative bail,
Sani is billed to again appear before the commission next week to shed more
light on her activities while in government.
