Malia Obama gets holiday job on set of Girls
Barack Obama's daughter works with Lena Dunham, one of America's brightest young comedy talents, on location in Brooklyn
Barack Obama's eldest daughter Malia has found herself a summer job, working as an intern on the set of Girls – one of America's hottest and raunchiest television shows.
She was spotted by the celebrity news site TMZ in the New York borough of Brooklyn, sipping a soft drink during filming on location at a hipster restaurant.
It is not the first time Malia, who turned 17 on Saturday, has done work experience behind the scenes of a television show.
Last year she took a job working as a production assistant for Halle Berry's CBS show Extant, when she was seen fetching coffee for the cast in Los Angeles during shooting.

This time she is working alongside Lena Dunham, who writes and stars in the comedy Girls and is considered one of America's most influential young stars.
It is the latest sign that Malia is intent on a career in TV or film, after she graduates next year from the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC.
Michelle Obama has spoken in the past about her daughter's desire to get into the industry – but only after college.
“Malia has expressed some interest in filmmaking,' she told People in 2012.

“Just like her father, she is an avid reader, and she enjoys movies. But she's a freshman, so she knows she has years in college to explore her interest.”
But her new job may have led to some awkward conversations in the White House.
Mr Obama has spoken before of being wary of the show – famous for its no-holds-barred sex scenes - when he realised his daughter was a fan.
