Do you find yourself with unexplained itching in your eyes? Do you often feel like there has to be something in your eye? Does it feel like you are more or less constantly having an allergy attack? If this is the case, you may have dehydrated skin around your eyes.
This
dehydration may be caused by a sensitivity or be the result of one. You may be
shocked to learn that this is actually a rather common problem. A problem that
you can take active steps to repair and avoid: Avoid harsh
products: Avoid anything that contains alcohol or harsh chemicals that
can dry the skin. Skip perfumes, essential oils and other products, like
retinol, that are known to be irritants to sensitive skin. Manage eye
skin stress: Skin stress can cause dryness. Regular rubbing or
touching, using dirty make up brushes, and reapplying make up too often can all
be causes of eye skin stress. Don't splash and shower with hot water:
Washing your face or showering with hot water can strip the skin of hydrating,
essential oils. Wash your face with lukewarm or cool water and then moisturize
as soon as your skin is dry. Layer your eye products: The skin around
your eyes is some of the thinnest skin on your body and needs to be handled with
care. Try a lightweight serum to deeply penetrate the skin and then apply a
moisturizer to help protect the skin's barrier. Strengthen the skin with
supplements: You should be eating a balanced diet with lots of
antioxidant rich foods but supplements can also help you protect that delicate
skin around the eyes. Vitamin C can help you repair the skin, even out the tone
and protect against sun damage while Vitamin E can also work to protect the skin
and help it repair more rapidly. What sorts of things do you do on a daily basis
